　　Step 2. Lead-in

　　SB Page 31, Part 1. Tell the students that we are going to learn a dialogue about the students activities in the beach.

　　1.Have you seen the sea? Have you seen how dirty the water is?

　　2.Do you have some ways to get rid of waste water?

　　Step 3. Listening

　　Now listen to the dialogue and answer the questions.

　　1.What did Mr Zhu speak to the students?

　　2. What have they talked about ?

　　Step 4. Reading

　　Read the dialogue on page 31 again and then answer the questions.

　　1. Where did the conversation happen?

　　2. What did they want to do there?

　　3. Why couldn't they have a swim in the sea?

　　4. How did the sea become polluted?

　　Answers:

　　1. It happened on the beach.

　　2. They wanted to look for seaweeds, fish, plants, all living things and have a swim.

　　3. It's because the water was very dirty.

　　4. There was a big waste pipe coming down from the town.　

　　Step 5. Practice         

　　SB P31, Part 2. Tell the students this part is compiled to practice the daily expressions. Tell the students to work in groups to make up a dialogue using the sentences given.

　　Step 6. Workbook

　　Workbook Lesson 21, Exx.2 and 3. Get the students to do the exercises individually and then check the answers with the students.

　　(1) Finish off the exercises of Lesson 21 in the workbook.

　　(2) Preview the next lesson.
